An Ombré Inspired Styled Wedding Shoot

Part of our job as educators at the Wedding and Event Institute is keep up to date with the current trends that have transcended themselves into the world of weddings and events. In an age where information is readily available brides are in the know about the latest wedding trends and this is something we talk about quite a bit in Certified Wedding Planning, Styling and Design Course. It is therefore essential as the planner, designer or stylist that you are also aware of what’s hot for the season so you can offer this to your clients.

A trend that has been popping up quite a bit recently is Ombré which is the effect of gradual saturation of color. A good example of this is within bridesmaids dresses when they start out a light shade and gradually get darker throughout the dress. The above mood board demonstrates this beautifully and has been taken from a styled shoot put together by two very talented individuals, Stephanie Yonce Photography and Honeydew Events. I love the combination of Plum, Teal and Peach and it perfectly demonstrate how to use Ombré within a wedding.
